This is a Recruitment Pool for Permanent Full Time, Permanent Part Time, Fixed Term Full Time, Fixed Term Part Time, Casual appointments with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.

Whilst children develop at their own pace, some experience challenges and need additional support.
The Child Development Service are seeking friendly, passionate and skilled Clinical Nurse Specialists who can support infants, children and young people with developmental concerns to reach their full potential.
In this role, you will provide metropolitan wide nursing consultative services related to the referral process, triage, eligibility criteria and access to services, transdisciplinary screening and discipline allocation.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Apply effective triage principles in accordance with eligibility criteria and access to services for metropolitan wide Child Development Service (CDS).
Provide advice and education on referral process, triage, eligibility criteria and access to services, transdisciplinary screening and discipline allocation, early parent engagement and service planning, clinical pathways, wait times, second opinion and complex team assessment to clinicians, parents/ families and other professionals.
Provide day to day advice to all members of the multidisciplinary team regarding the progress of referrals, discipline allocation, complex team assessment wait times, continuum of care and case management discussion.
Co-ordinate, lead and complete weekly intake reports for the metropolitan-wide Child Development Service sites.
Manage clinical risk and triages referrals and explain the service planning process and assessment procedures to parents/carers/referees/external providers as required.
Provide advanced child health nursing and conduct comprehensive and systematic assessment of children to detect neurodevelopmental disability or delay, in partnership and under the direct supervision of the Paediatrician, in accordance with nursing scope of practice.
As a member of the interdisciplinary team, provide education and support to parents/families/carers in the areas of the importance of the early years, normal growth and development, play and learning and principles of family partnership and sensitive parenting.
About Child Development Service: The Child Development Service provides multidisciplinary assessment and intervention services to infant, children and young people with developmental delay or difficulties that impact on function, participation and/or the parent-child relationship.
Clinicians adopt a child and family-centred approach, working in partnership with families to address developmental concerns that are of priority to the family.
Our teams include Clinical Psychologists, Developmental Paediatricians, Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Social Workers, Speech Pathologists and other allied health professionals.
The Child Development Service provides services at approximately 18 locations across the metropolitan Perth area, as well as providing home, school and community visits as needed.
