Reports To: Senior Development Manager & Chief Development Officer
Role Overview
Our client is amid a huge growth phase and aims to expand its network of 400+ assets sustainably and significantly in the coming 3 years.
As the Development Manager, your primary focus will be driving new store growth at a state level (Victoria).
This includes identifying and securing new sites to accelerate new store openings and developing strategies to enhance existing asset performance, including relocations when necessary.
Our client is looking to interview in 2024 with a start date of January 2025

What's on Offer 15% annual bonuses and a competitive base salary offeringA healthy pipeline of planned and future developments until 2027The chance to work alongside and learn from experienced senior resources of the businessLead up all developments across VictoriaFact paced, friendly, and professional work cultureWork-life balance and autonomous working environment Key Responsibilities New asset Development Collaborate with the VIC Real Estate team to identify and negotiate property purchases or lease agreements for new locations.Oversee development approvals and local government processes, ensuring seamless handover to the construction team.Maintain adherence to project budgets, timelines, and quality standards.Ensure effective execution and collaboration with the construction team for successful project delivery. Strategic Network Planning Develop and execute a state-wide network market plan for new rollouts.Assess and identify opportunities for relocations or refurbishments of existing sites.Partner with the internal and external teams to align on network strategies and secure new stores within the state.Key Relationships

Chief Development OfficerSenior Development ManagerProperty TeamState General Manager & Operations TeamExternal: Developers, Landlords, AgentsConsultants, Town Planners, Solicitors, CouncilsArchitectsFinancial Oversight & Reporting Prepare and present business cases and feasibility assessments to internal stakeholders and executives.Conduct thorough due diligence on proposed sites to ensure financial viability, including sales and capital forecasting.Draft and present new development proposals to the Property and Franchising Board. Qualifications & Experience Essential: Minimum of 5 years of experience in retail, hospitality, or QSR development, or a related field, with a strong track record of managing multiple projects.A degree in Real Estate Development, Town Planning, Engineering, Property, Construction Management, or a related discipline.The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
