We're looking for a dedicated and experienced Cafe Supervisor to join an amazing team at a one-of-a-kind Mediterranean-inspired cafe in Collingwood
This cafe is a hidden gem in the heart of Collingwood, offering take away and freshly made breakfast and lunch with a delightful mix of Italian and Mediterranean flavors.
This Cafe pride themselves on aesthetic, quality ingredients, and exceptional customer service.
As a Cafe Supervisor, you'll be at the forefront of the action, playing a crucial role in ensuring the day-to-day operations run smoothly.
This is a floor-focused role, where your main responsibility will be leading and inspiring the team, interacting with customers, and maintaining the high standards that make our cafe special.
You'll manage a team of 10+ staff, making sure they feel supported, motivated, and ready to deliver exceptional service.
You'll also ensure that our cafe maintains a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all guests.
Key Responsibilities: Lead from the floor : Be an active presence on the cafe floor, leading by example with a hands-on approach, managing the team and ensuring every customer interaction is top-notch.
Team Management : Motivate and support a team of 10+ staff members, ensuring they are trained, confident, and working efficiently while maintaining a positive work environment.
Customer Interaction : Build relationships with customers by ensuring they have an amazing experience, from their first step in the door to the last sip of coffee.
Maintain High Standards : Oversee the upkeep of the cafe, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and consistency are maintained at all times.
Quality Control : Work closely with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure every meal and drink meets our high standards of quality and presentation.
Foster a Positive Environment : Create a vibrant, energetic atmosphere that makes both customers and staff feel welcome, valued, and part of something special.
About You: A genuine passion for people and hospitality, with a love for Mediterranean and Italian cuisine.
Proven leadership skills Experience managing and inspiring a team of 10+ staff.
Strong communication skills Ability to lead and connect with both staff and customers Highly motivated and adaptable Flexible to work weekends Keen eye for detail, ensuring everything runs smoothly while maintaining the cafe's aesthetic.
Enthusiastic about providing top-tier customer service Fostering a positive, engaged team culture.
