Certification Manager
Full-time PermanentDetails: We are looking for an experienced certification manager in the field of sustainable forest management.
The ACT Government operates an 8000 hectare commercial forestry plantation across a defined management area of 11600 hectares to provide a wide range of social, environmental, and economic benefits to the community.
This position is part of a small team of eight people in the Forest Management section based out of the Parks and Conservation Service's Stromlo office and depot at 500 Cotter Road in Coombs, ACT.
We work collaboratively with staff from across the Parks and Conservation Service and broader Directorate located across nine district depots with our head office at 480 Northbourne Avenue, Dickson, ACT.

Eligibility/Other Requirements: Tertiary qualifications (Diploma/Degree) in Forestry, Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management or similar relevant field and/or experience in forest management, and/orEligible for full membership of Forestry Australia, a professional body with almost 1200 members engaged in all branches of forest management, growing and conservation in Australia.Highly Desirable Post graduate qualifications (Masters/PhD) broadening your skillset in certification systems.Professional affiliations with like-minded organisations committed to the responsible management of forests globally.Notes: This is a permanent position available immediately.
