About the role Gold Coast Private Hospital is currently looking for an experienced Ward Clerk on a full time basis to support our busy Cardiac ward, Monday to Friday.
About us Established in 2016, Gold Coast Private Hospital is a state-of-the-art, 340-bed facility located in the heart of the Gold Coast Precinct in Southport.
With 22 operating theatres, Gold Coast Private Hospital offers a wide range of specialties including, but not limited to, 24 / 7 Emergency Care, Medical Services, Orthopaedics, Bariatrics, Neurosurgery, Plastic Surgery, ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat), General Surgery, Obstetrics, Cardiac Care, and Oncology.

Your duties will include Welcome and assist patients, visitors, and staff, ensuring a friendly and professional first impression.Answer phone calls and handle inquiries with professionalism, empathy and confidentiality, directing them to the appropriate personnel as needed.Provide administrative support to the Nurse Unit Manager, including scheduling, correspondence, and coordination of meetings.Assist Visiting Medical Officers (VMOs) with administrative tasks, ensuring smooth operations and patient care.Accurately record and maintain patient data, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with hospital policies.Prepare and process all discharge paperwork, ensuring patients receive all necessary documentation promptly.Essential Criteria : Able to adjust to changing priorities and work environments with ease.Strong focus on accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks.Reliable and responsible, taking ownership of tasks and outcomes.Capable of working independently and making informed decisions.Skilled in managing multiple tasks simultaneously without compromising quality.Able to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong organizational and time-management skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).Knowledge of medical terminology and WebPAS is an advantage.Why Healthscope?
