Description Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Civil Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic.
The position is based in Brisbane, Australia.
About the Position: With record-breaking investment in rail infrastructure and networks to support more livable and sustainable cities and communities across Australia, we're expanding our team to meet the demands of our growing project portfolio.
Based in Brisbane, you will be part of a dynamic, innovative, and collaborative team renowned for its world-class thinking and solutions.
Key Responsibilities: Provide civil engineering design and documentation services for ETCS L2 Project.Maximize commercial outcomes through stakeholder relationship development and high-quality communication skills.Lead Project Civil engineering for effective solutions and propose business improvements.Meet the requirements of professional practice and/or the Quality Management System to provide consistent output of civil engineering services and advice, ensuring compliance with safety, operational, and environmental legislation, regulations, and practices.Ensure compliance with safety, operational, and environmental regulations, including HSE requirements.Support the Senior Signalling/Electrical Engineer and the wider construction team in the execution of the ETCS L2 project.Skills & Experience: Degree in Civil engineering or equivalent engineering qualification which is acceptable for corporate membership of Engineers Australia.10+ years in civil engineering in a rail or civil construction environment.Demonstrated competency in implementing Health & Safety initiatives.Outstanding planning and organisational skills.Demonstrated experience working within a brownfield railway signalling environment.Knowledge of software tools and technical systems.Resourceful, resilient, and professional.At Hitachi Rail, we know that a diverse business is a sustainable business.
