About the role
Reporting directly to the Operations Manager , this full-time Power Station Manager's role is responsible for the overall operations and performance of Zenith Energy's Hybrid Power Stations in Western Australia and the Northern Territory.
What you'll be doing
Oversee the day-to-day operations of our power stations, including generation, distribution, and maintenance activities Lead a team of power plant operators, maintenance staff, and administrative support to deliver safe, efficient, and cost-effective power generation Implement and monitor operational and maintenance procedures to optimise the performance and lifespan of power generation assets Analyse plant performance data and identify opportunities for improvement in productivity, reliability, and sustainability Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations, environmental standards, and workplace health and safety requirements Manage budgets, procurement, and contract negotiations for the power stations Collaborate with key stakeholders, including local authorities, customers, and the wider Zenith Energy team What we're looking for
Minimum 10 years' post trade experience in power station operations and management, preferably in the mining, resources, or energy sectors (FIFO operations) Mechanical or electrical trade qualification is a minimum requirement Degree-level qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, or Power Engineering, or a related technical discipline Qualification in Leadership or Management would be desirable Proven track record of leading and motivating teams to deliver high-performance, safety-focused power generation operations Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to identify and implement effective solutions Strong commercial acumen, including budget management, procurement, and contract negotiation experience Highly developed communication and stakeholder management skills Commitment to continuous improvement and a safety-first mindset What we offer
