My client is a top tier fitout and construction contractor that specialise in projects $200million +.
They deliver high quality projects across the nation, in a range of sectors including small and large-scale commercial workspaces, hi-tech sites, education, science, health, biotech, hospitality and retail.
As a Senior Contract Administrator/Contracts Manager, you will hold substantial experience delivering $100Million+ Fitout & Refurbishment projects, with the support of a Commercial team.
Your duties will include but not be limited to the following:
Key Responsibilities
Supporting the project team in the preparation and execution during the procurement of subcontractors and implementing the project procurement strategy.
Negotiate and review subcontract tenders including preparation of tender comparison for review.
Perform assessment of variations, negotiation of progress claims, and the agreement of final accounts.
Prepare, check and review subcontractor packages, scopes of work, lettings and procurement schedule.
Management of client and subcontractor claims process in accordance with the contract.
Understand and manage subcontractor contractual risk.
Manage and assess variations, cash flow and liaison with major subcontractors.
Manage contract finalisation including defects, manuals and variations.
Co-ordination and compilation of monthly reports.
Assist the Project Manager with matters relating to project costs reports.
Manage several Contract Administrators.
Required Skills
Degree in Construction Management or relevant qualification/experience.
Substantial experience delivering projects from $20M+.
Aptitude to implement processes and procedures, promote positive commercial outcomes and reduce commercial risks.
Excellent negotiation, written and communication skills.
Must have experience in the Fitout and Construction industry.
Proven track record/possess excellent people management skills.
