Collaborating with the Aboriginal Health team, patients, caregivers, families, and community stakeholders, the Clinical Lead ensures culturally safe and patient-centered care that respects and uplifts Aboriginal communities.
As a Clinical Lead, you will:
Coordinate and deliver exceptional care that reflects the needs of patients, families, and communities.
Provide expert guidance and clinical supervision to support staff, especially in complex care situations.
Act as a champion for culturally appropriate healthcare practices and continuous service improvement.

What sets you apart: The Clinical Lead - Aboriginal Health Care Coordination coordinates team-based healthcare services for patients, within the Aboriginal Health Care Coordination Service.
You are experienced in triaging patients and coordinating clinical services including reviewing discharge summaries and referrals to community services.
You are a highly organised and proactive individual with excellent communication and time management skills.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, initiative, and the ability to prioritise effectively whilst critical thinking.
Your connection to community and culture, with the implicit understanding of how to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people within their kinship relationship of family, friends and land is vital in this role.

Requirements: Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
Relevant post-registration qualifications and at least 3 years' experience working in the clinical area of their specified post-graduate qualification, or such other qualifications or equivalent experience deemed appropriate by the public hospital or public health organisation.
Eligible to drive in NSW and willingness to travel for work.
Additional Information: An eligibility list will be created for future temporary full or part time vacancies.
This position is full time; however, part time arrangements will be considered (minimum 3 days/24hours per week).

Additionally, Category A workers are required to receive a booster dose three months after completing the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.
New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate (IM011 immunisation medical exemption form) certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.
Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate.
Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.
Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination against Specific Diseases - this is a Category A position.
