Permanent Full-time (80 hours per fortnight + 1 ADO per Month) or potential for 0.8 EFT by negotiation or potential for Permanent Part-time 0.4 EFT by negotiation (32.0 hours per fortnight) 20-Bed Trauma Specialist Inpatient Unit (Austin Mental Health Division) Located at the Heidelberg Repatriation Campus Austin Health Austin Health is the major provider of tertiary health services, health professional education and research across three campuses in the Northeast of Melbourne and state-wide.

About Ward 17 – Psychological Trauma Recovery Services (PTRS): Ward 17 is 20-bed Statewide Specialist Mental Health Unit, providing comprehensive and evidence-based treatments for adults experiencing trauma-related mental health conditions.
We provide services for current serving members of the Australian Defence Forces, Veterans and First Responders (such as Victoria Police, Ambulance and Fire Services).
PTSD is frequently the primary focus of our treatment however, we also support individuals with anxiety disorders, depression, and limited alcohol and/or illicit drug misuse.
About the role: The RPN3 Associate Nurse Unit Manager is a recognised clinical leader within the PTRS Nursing Team, who works closely with the NUM and medical leads, to ensure the provision of high quality, recovery orientated care, and foster a positive team culture.
A regular day will see you: Deliver high quality consumer care Provide oversight and leadership of daily operations in the unit Liaise with other affiliated external agencies Share clinical expertise through role modelling, and provision of guidance and supervision Actively contribute to positive culture, support the NUM in driving change Actively participate in planning for the future expansion of services Provision of a safe working environment using the Safewards Framework About you: As the ANUM, you will be someone who has excellent communication skills, with a strong commitment to excellence in patient care.
