The role formulates, coordinates, and evaluates unit based educational programs; assessment and demonstration of clinical procedures.The aim of the position is to use a participation methodology to build:The capacity of individuals to deliver safe, evidenced based care, incorporating reflective practice with the aim of continual improvement.A woman and family focused culture that supports the MUM and staff to deliver innovative models of care and proactively manage change.The position contributes to the overall improvement of health service delivery.
The Clinical Midwife Educator provides clinical support for Antenatal Day Assessment Unit and Fetal Medicine Unit, and will also be responsible for supporting the Research Midwifery Team.Ideal CandidateHas current midwifery registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) and relevant post registration experience in the specialty.Holds relevant clinical or education post registration qualifications, or such education and clinical experience deemed appropriate by the employer.Has the demonstrated understanding and experience in various teaching methodologies including the ability to plan, conduct and evaluate unit based education.Benefits and Perks Accrued Day Off each month (Full Time only), paid Parental Leave & Annual Leave loading.Opportunity for extra tax savings through Salary Packaging and Novated Leasing.Access to free courses, qualifications and coaching via Sydney Education.Access to confidential EAP counselling for staff and their families.Free annual influenza vaccination, discounted Fitness Passport membership, and free telehealth nutrition and wellness resources from qualified professionals.This is a Category A position.
