The Clinical Midwife Educator provides support and clinical development/training to staff while fostering a preceptor/mentor role.
The role formulates, coordinates, and evaluates unit-based educational programs; assessment and demonstration of clinical procedures.The aim of the position is to use a participation methodology to build: The capacity of individuals to deliver safe, evidenced based care, incorporating reflective practice with the aim of continual improvement.A woman and family focused culture that supports the MUM and staff to deliver innovative models of care and proactively manage change.The position contributes to the overall improvement of health service delivery.
The Clinical Midwife Educator provides clinical support for Antenatal Day Assessment Unit and Fetal Medicine Unit, and will also be responsible for supporting the Research Midwifery Team.
