ABOUT YOUR NEW ROLE:
There is an exciting new job opportunity in CSSD where you will play a crucial role in ensuring re-usable medical devices are sterilised and ready for use, contributing directly to patient safety and healthcare efficiency.
In this rewarding opportunity you will join the St Vincent's Private Hospital Melbourne (SVPHM) team as Associate Nurse Unit Manager in our Central Sterilising Services Department (CSSD) at our East Melbourne campus.
This role will be fixed term/maternity cover role until January 2026, working full time (38 hours per week) and will be pivotal in maintaining the highest standard of sterilisation for patient care.
You will bring your passion to the role where you will work closely with the Nurse Unit Manager - CSSD and the team.

ABOUT YOU:
As an outstanding ANUM, you will have comprehensive medical instrument knowledge and the motivation to learn the CSSD processes.
Your skills will include:
Knowledge in high level disinfection, packing and sterilisation of RMDs Knowledge of loans equipment and sterile stores processes Leading, managing and working alongside the Nurse Unit Manager - CSSD and the team Ensuring that the philosophy and values of St Vincent's Private Melbourne are inherent in the delivery of health care Certificate in Sterilisation Services (Desirable)
REQUIREMENTS:
Criminal record and/or child protection checks will be conducted and will form part of the selection criteria for this role.
SVPHM has a duty of care under work health and safety legislation to eliminate and/or control the risk of transmission of vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) in healthcare settings.
You are therefore required to comply with the SVHA Staff Health Screening Immunisation Policy, which, depending on the role you perform in the organisation will require you to undergo mandatory immunisations/vaccinations (including flu vaccinations).
SVHA generally requires its staff to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
