MARC Media is looking for our next great sales leader for the role of a General Sales Manager.
WSBH 98.5 The Beach is consistently ranked high in Nielsen ratings, and easily the number one community radio station in Brevard County, Florida.
Add in the fun of WIXC 1060 AM and 105.5 FM and the growth of digital marketing, and you have a power package to sell local advertisers.
As General Sales Manager, you would be responsible for developing strategies, managing sales operations, and driving revenue growth, while ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities: Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and collective targets.
Set sales targets, quotas, and objectives in alignment with company goals.
Analyze sales data, market trends, and client feedback to identify opportunities for growth in your designated market.
Monitor and evaluate sales performance, providing guidance and support to improve results.
Implement the MARC sales training programs to enhance the skills of your sales team.
Ensure your entire sales team is logging all sales-related activity in the CRM, to include interactions with clients and sales projections.
Duties: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders in your business unit.
Collaborate with company marketing and programming teams to enhance sales initiatives.
Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market changes.
Meet with your supervisor on a regular basis to provide updates on sales numbers and strategies to grow revenue.
Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate a sales team.
Self-motivated and persistent performer who works well independently and with team members.
Excellent verbal & written communication, negotiation, and presentation skills; the ability to communicate persuasively, professionally, and effectively by way of phone, email, text, and social media platforms.
Ability to multi-task and work with urgency to meet deadlines.
Ability to use research materials and data to create effective marketing solutions for the client.
Possess strong customer service skills and the ability to follow through.
Ability to interact with all levels within the organization and demonstrate a strong team-player approach.
Proficient in Microsoft Outreach suite and CRM tools.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Minimum four years of radio sales management or equivalent media sales management preferred.
Minimum eight to ten years' experience working in radio or equivalent media experience preferred.
Other Requirements: Possess a valid driver's license, reliable transportation and an acceptable driving record as outlined by company's insurance provider.
Ability to successfully complete pre-employment screenings.
Monday to Friday schedule with periodic weekend if needed.
