Regis Resources Limited is a prominent Australian gold producer with a diversified portfolio of high-quality assets. With primary operations in Western Australia, including the flagship Duketon Gold Project and a joint venture in the Tropicana Gold Project, Regis continues to grow its production profile while maintaining a strong financial position. The company is also progressing the McPhillamys Gold Project in New South Wales, one of Australia's largest undeveloped open-pit gold resources.
With a commitment to operational excellence, safety, and sustainable growth, Regis is seeking a seasoned General Manager Operations to lead its Duketon assets and drive underground mining expansion.
The Opportunity:
As the General Manager Operations for Duketon, you will be responsible for leading and optimising open-pit and underground mining operations, ensuring safe and efficient production across multiple sites. With substantial processing infrastructure in place and ambitious growth targets ahead, this is a pivotal leadership role within one of Australia's growing gold mining companies.
You will be accountable for delivering operational performance, driving efficiency, and ensuring compliance with safety and governance standards. This role will suit a commercially astute leader with a strong technical background in underground mining and extensive experience managing contractor transitions to owner-operator models.
Key Responsibilities: Lead safe and efficient operations across Duketon's open-pit, underground, and processing facilities.Prepare and manage operational budgets, ensuring performance against key production and cost targets.Identify and implement performance optimisation strategies to maximise financial outcomes.Oversee contractor relationships and assist with transitioning to owner-operator models where required.Ensure operations comply with company policies, safety standards, and legislative requirements.Drive medium and long-term operational planning to ensure consistent ore supply to processing plants.Mentor and develop direct reports, fostering a high-performance culture and supporting succession planning.Provide coverage as SSE, Registered Manager, or Quarry Manager when required. To be successful in this role, you will have:
Significant experience in underground mining operations, including ramping up new projects.Proven leadership across multi-site operations with a focus on safety, governance, and operational excellence.Strong technical expertise in underground mining methods and large-scale processing facilities.Demonstrated success in contractor management, with experience transitioning to owner-operator models.A collaborative and achievement-driven approach to leadership, fostering high-performance cultures.Why Regis Resources?
