About the role
If you are a degree qualified Mechanical Engineer and have supervisor experience this is a great opportunity to have a meaningful input into an exciting engineering project.
This is a hands-on role where you will be involved in the day-to-day design work.
The responsibilities of the role include (but are not limited to):
Supervising projects and leading a team of 4 professional engineers Being involved in the day-today design work Engineering material handling products primarily for forklift attachments Projects include detail design, engineering calculation and engineering drafting Usethe latest design technology – 3D Modelling, FEA , Team Centre, Solid Edge Reviewand designhydraulic systems for equipment Preparequality documents and reports as required Work safely with our skilled engineering team to solve problems and analyse product performance Communicating regularly with production, workshop team members, and internal customer service team on engineering projects.
Experience and qualifications required for the role:
At least 1-2 years supervisory experience Passionate about design and leading people Use of3D modelling package e.g., Solid Edge or similar; Team Centre Knowledge of FEA software (Ansys) and hydraulics preferable knowledge of Australian Standards Fantastic research and problem-solving skills First-class communication, organisational and time management skills; and Exemplary skills in excel and other Microsoft office suit.
MBA or Master's Degree Prior experience with manufacturing processes Registration with Engineers Australia and RPEQ.
