For many Australian veterans, the effects of military service extend far beyond their time in active duty. One of the significant challenges faced by veterans is the impact of service-related conditions on their physical, emotional, and social well-being. In-home support services play a crucial role in assisting veterans to manage these challenges, providing tailored care that enhances their quality of life and ensures they receive the necessary support in the comfort of their own homes.
Accessing home support services is essential for veterans to manage the lasting effects of their military service. These services provide assistance with general duties around the home, to emotional support helping veterans maintain their independence and well-being. By assisting veterans to engage with these services, we can ensure they receive the necessary support to navigate challenges and improve their quality of life in a comfortable and familiar environment.
About the role: We have multiple opportunities for passionate, honest, and hardworking Social Workers dedicated to providing quality care to veterans. The successful candidates will be working alongside the leadership team and other practitioners to help develop and implement clinical services, educate and case manage veterans.
As a VSS Social Worker, you will be part of a multi-disciplined team working for a private organisation funded by the public health sector. You will be facilitating access to quality therapy, care, and education-based solutions through telehealth.
