RSL Dandenong is a leading gaming and hospitality venue, deeply embedded in the local community as both a social destination and a community-focused organisation.

We are seeking an experienced and strategic General Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations and drive the long-term success of RSL Dandenong.
Reporting to the Board, the General Manager will be responsible for business development, team leadership, and operational excellence, while also actively engaging with board members and committees to represent RSL Dandenong's interests.
This role requires a strong understanding of both gaming, wagering and hospitality, a keen sense of community engagement, and a commitment to delivering superior customer service.
Key Responsibilities: Lead and oversee all operational aspects of the venue, including gaming, wagering, food and beverage services, and events, ensuring seamless and efficient operations.Oversight of the legal, regulatory and policy compliance of Dandenong Cranbourne RSL Sub-Branch Inc and monitoring of compliance with relevant laws and regulations which will provide reports to the Board.Drive revenue growth and profitability through strategic planning, budgeting, and effective cost control measures.Represent RSL Dandenong in board meetings, providing regular operational updates, financial reports, and key insights.Engage closely with board members and attend committee meetings to ensure alignment with organisational goals and compliance with RSL standards.Collaborate with board members on strategic planning, budgeting, and business development initiatives.Lead, coach, and inspire a dedicated team to maintain high standards of customer service and engagement.Build and foster relationships within the local community, enhancing the venue's visibility and reputation.Maintain full compliance with gaming regulations, health and safety standards, and other legislative requirements.Identify areas for operational improvement, develop innovative solutions, and implement best practices to elevate service delivery and guest satisfaction.Qualifications and Experience: Proven experience in a senior management role within the gaming, hospitality, or related industry, with a strong focus on operational management.In-depth knowledge of gaming regulations and compliance, with commitment to ethical standards.Demonstrated experience in engaging with boards and attending committee meetings, preferably in a membership or community-oriented organisation.Financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and managing resources to drive profitability.Strong leadership skills, with a successful track record in team development and staff engagement.Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including board members, community partners, and team members.A commitment to RSL values and a passion for delivering outstanding service to members and guests.Why Join Us?
