Sugar Australia has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Procurement Manager to join our team in a permanent full-time capacity, based at our Yarraville, VIC head office.
Reporting to the General Manager Operations, this role will play a crucial part in leading and managing the procurement team to deliver strategic direction and drive commercial value for our operations.Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:Leading and managing the procurement team and key categories at Sugar Australia, while providing sound strategic direction to the function.Working more broadly across Wilmar business unit procurement teams to deliver value.Understanding the end-to-end supply chain for key categories to identify opportunities to deliver cost reduction.Leading the allocated direct and indirect procurement categories with a focus on identifying and implementing cost and risk reduction initiatives.Delivering, analysing, and evaluating tender documentation for nominated categories.Managing contract compliance and ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.Maintaining and continuously improving the Purchasing SAP system in conjunction with the broader Wilmar businesses to enhance operational efficiency.What we're wanting you to bring to the table:This role is ideally suited to someone with strong commercial awareness and leadership capabilities.
You should have:A tertiary qualification in Business/Supply Chain/Procurement.Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a Procurement leadership role.Advanced skills in SAP and Microsoft Office.Strong people leadership skills with a proven ability to develop and manage high-performing teams.Proven commercial and financial acumen with a focus on driving value.Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills.Ability to analyse market trends and make data-driven decisions.A collaborative, solutions-focused mindset with a positive disposition.About Sugar Australia:Sugar Australia is the nation's trusted partner in sugar and ingredient solutions, enabling our customers to create great products for every home.
