Paternity leave - fixed-term contract About the Company Our client is a leading fund manager with strategies across broad asset classes and a focus on both maximising financial returns and societal impact.
You will support in managing a portfolio of unlisted real estate investments.
These investments are managed by a diverse range of institutional and boutique fund managers.
The role will involve quantitative research to complement and support portfolio management and investment decisions.
Key Accountabilities This position is an initial 9-month FTC.
Key responsibilities will include: Assist in the monitoring and proactive management of existing property fund investments including attending manager meetings, unit holder meetings and asset inspections; Market research and monitoring property investment market fundamentals; Financial analysis and assist with investment due diligence at a fund level.
Preparing, maintaining and improving investment models, spreadsheets including the use of data visualisation applications (eg: Power BI) Monthly Performance reconciliation including liaising with fund managers to ensure monthly performance data is received on time and exceptions are resolved; Co-ordinating and preparing timely, accurate and well-presented property client and marketing commentary; Developing and maintaining effective working relationships across the investment team, external fund managers and custodians; Supporting the smooth interaction of the Property asset class with the Investment Operations and Implementation Teams with respect to portfolio management, capital calls and trading activities including the accurate reporting of portfolio positions, custodian notifications and cash flows.
Technical Skills & Qualifications required include: Finance/Business/Property degree qualified, with CFA, CIPM or other relevant qualifications highly desirable; Experience with property valuations, investment management or consulting; Financial modelling skills are highly desirable; Strong written and verbal communication and stakeholder management skills; Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, including intermediate to advanced Excel skills (VBA and macros) and programming, such as SQL will be highly regarded; and Highly organised, collaborative team player with excellent attention to detail.
