We have recently changed our name from the Telethon Kids Institute, but we continue to achieve our vision of happy, healthy kids
This role offers an exciting opportunity to drive meaningful impact and growth.
Reporting to the Philanthropy Manager, Major Gifts, you will work closely with the Philanthropy team to create and execute a tailored engagement plan for mid-value donors.
This plan will combine personal outreach with broader communication strategies to enhance fundraising efforts and donor stewardship.
A key focus of the role is building stronger connections within the donor community, serving as a gateway to major gifts, Gifts in Wills, and new networks.
By fostering relationships with high-potential donors, you'll help maximize their contributions, while delivering an engaging calendar of activities and experiences that inspire loyalty and deepen support.
The role also includes developing and implementing strategies to attract, nurture, and retain a growing base of mid-level supporters.
Reporting to and closely working with the Philanthropy Manager, some of your duties will include:
Nurture relationships with high-potential supporters to deepen their engagement with The Kids and maximize giving.Collaborate with the team to grow a mid-value product to further engage supporters.Champion mid-level giving internally leveraging key opportunities to communicate the value, impact and benefits of mid-level giving.Provide additional support and perform other duties consistent with the position where required and/or requested.Maintain secure and detailed record keeping supporting relationship management, personalization and ultimately improved supporter experience.This is a full-time position in an ongoing capacity conveniently located at Perth Children's Hospital.
About You This position is ideal for an individual with a strong passion for fundraising within the not-for-profit sector and a talent for cultivating meaningful relationships.
Your success will be dependent on the skills and experience below:
Relevant tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications or a related field or proven experience in a similar role, as well as three to five years' experience in a similar fundraising role, building key relationships and developing project plans.Strengths and passion for donor stewardship and building one-to-one relationships to make an impact.Demonstrated capability to work independently, as well as effectively with cross-functional teams.Strong ability to listen actively, influence and negotiate for mutually beneficial outcomes.Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear and effective interaction with internal or external stakeholders and donors.Ability to analyse and organise information to identify philanthropic patterns and relationships among supporters.We are driving inclusion and diversity as part of the way we work and embrace the diverse career and life experiences of our staff.
