We are undertaking a retail & hospitality development in the heart of Melbourne CBD.
We now seek a highly organised and detail-focused Development Manager to join our development team.
We are a tight team who work in close collaboration with each other.
In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping our development's success by overseeing key aspects of planning, execution, and management.
As our Development Manager, you will drive progress and ensure seamless coordination between internal teams, stakeholders, and external partners.
This position requires strategic thinking, hands-on management, and the ability to problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.
You'll be responsible for ensuring our project aligns with both financial targets and brand standards, contributing directly to the high standards we aim to deliver within Melbourne's dynamic CBD.
Key AttributesProven track record in managing complex, mixed-use developments, specifically within the retail and hospitality sectors in Melbourne, from initial planning through to completion.Comprehensive understanding of State and Local regulatory and compliance requirements in large-scale urban developments, with the ability to navigate local approvals and zoning laws effectively.Strong stakeholder management skills to coordinate with investors, city planners, architects, contractors, and other key partners, ensuring alignment with project vision and objectives.Expertise in budgeting and financial forecasting, capable of delivering projects on budget and on schedule while maximizing value and managing cost-efficiencies.Advanced project management skills with proficiency in construction management software and methodologies to oversee timelines, resources, and risk management.Leadership and team-building abilities to guide cross-functional teams, ensuring smooth collaboration and high performance across all phases of the project.ResponsibilitiesWork with other members of the team to ensure base/retail/hotel build are in accordance to agreed specifications.Manage change/additional requests from hotel operator and retail tenants to minimise impact on opening program delivery and close out/track variations against contract scope/budget.Work with various project stakeholders to manage all fire & safety, town planning/building codes, structure, M&E aspects.Review shop drawings, services coordination and alternative solutions from the Builder.Track progress and review EOTs, fitout trackers, project milestones etc.Work with project architects to ensure Greenstar Certification is achieved.Review hotel FFE & OSE, artwork & room accessories and close out outstanding items with the wider team.Review and track Builder's testing and commissioning program for the entire asset including retail and hotel, site inspection of defects and monitoring close-outs.Assist Tenancy Delivery Manager to review Landlord Works/amalgamations/pricing review.Work with appointed Property Manager/Builder during pre-opening phase to ensure warranties, licences, O&M manuals etc are properly documented and filed.Track DLP items and ensure close out by due date.Work with team members to ensure IT systems are in accordance to requirements and are properly set by relevant contractors.Any other project delivery matters.#J-18808-Ljbffr
