SUMMARY OF THE ROLE Jotun Australia Pty Ltd was established in 1990, starting business operations in Brooklyn, Victoria with the focus in Performance Coatings comprising of Protective, Marine and Powder Coatings.
Over the past years, Jotun successfully extended its sales and distribution office in 6 locations in Melbourne, Sydney, Newcastle, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide.
Our business thrusts are focused in strengthening our nationwide presence in performance coatings while continuing the focus on people development.
Jotun Australia aims to strengthen the Jotun Group's position in the region through ambitious market growth plans, focusing on innovation, efficiency and profitability in an exciting period of opportunity.
We are now inviting applications for the role of Sales Representative - Marine Coatings, based onsite at our Berrinba office.
The role will be responsible for supporting the Sales Manager in promoting and selling Marine Coatings products to new/existing customers by developing strong customer relationships and utilising Jotun sales tools and techniques to achieve budgeted sales, gross margin, DSO, and with the aim of increasing Jotun market share and profitability.
The incumbent will report directly to the State Sales Manager - Queensland.

Responsibilities: Support the Sales Manager to achieve sales targets by managing relationships with customers and pursuing profitable growth opportunities in assigned customer accounts, thereby contributing to the sales turnover.Develop customer account plans for all assigned customers by identifying relevant customer needs, prioritizing initiatives and company resources to meet customers' needs, and maintaining high customer satisfaction.Monitor the progress of projects, deliveries, or accounts closely with customers and contractors, resolving problems, responding to queries (technical and commercial) as well as inspecting painting progress to ensure project completion on the agreed time and to obtain optimum coating performance.Promote products, services, and solutions to owners and consultants through regular visits, product presentations, and follow-ups, and respond to inquiries to recommend and ensure Jotun is specified for the projects, thus creating sales opportunities for the company.Follow up on projects within allocated geographical territories and concept markets by coordinating and monitoring closely with project personnel to ensure Jotun products are used to achieve the sales budget.Monitor collections to ensure customer payment is received within an agreed term to achieve budgeted days outstanding.Liaise with the client market and respond to sales and technical inquiries, introducing new products, and monitoring projects by specifications.Meet personal sales and contribution targets, focusing on stable small to moderate accounts through the practical application of Jotun sales tools and techniques.Prepare and deliver presentations and proposals to win new business and increase sales turnover and profitability with existing customers.
