The Senior Manager, Field Medical Advisor (FMA), is central to Moderna's mission of delivering innovative mRNA-based therapies and vaccines.
This role is pivotal in building and sustaining trust with diverse stakeholders, from healthcare practitioners to policymakers, through peer-to-peer scientific engagement and personalized interactions.

Here's what you'll do: Your key responsibilities will be:Developing and executing strategic external engagement plans in collaboration with the Medical Director, considering the healthcare ecosystem and Moderna's strategic priorities.Building and maintaining relationships with diverse stakeholders, including key opinion leaders, medical societies, public health institutions, patient advocacy groups, policymakers, and academic organizations.Conducting peer-to-peer scientific exchanges to share clinical data, real-world evidence, and insights into mRNA science and related therapeutic areas. Your responsibilities will also include:Generating Medical Intelligence to identify trends, stakeholder perspectives, and strategic insights to shape Moderna's objectives.Communicating complex scientific topics effectively to varied audiences using tools like Moderna's Scientific Communications Platform and generative AI.Collaborating with healthcare professionals and institutions to co-create solutions that elevate patient outcomes.Organizing and participating in Medical Affairs activities, including advisory boards, medical education programs, and scientific presentations.Adhering to ethical standards, compliance frameworks, and reporting protocols, including compliance with Medicines Australia Code of Conduct. Here's What You'll Need (Minimum Qualifications):Master's degree in a scientific discipline.
Medical degree, PhD, or PharmD preferred.
Experience in vaccine-related roles is highly valued.4+ years of experience in Medical Affairs preferably in field medical roles.Ability to travel 50 - 75% within the assigned region to meet with stakeholders. Here's What You'll Bring to the Table:Experience in medical affairs or clinical development, preferably with mRNA, vaccines, immunology, or infectious diseases.Established relationships within the medical community and a strong understanding of healthcare ecosystems.Demonstrated ability to navigate compliance frameworks and interact ethically within a field-based role.Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.Proactivity and curiosity with a collaborative and agile approach.Passion for making a difference.Proficiency in digital technology and familiarity with virtual presentation platforms and Microsoft Office Suite.
