What we are looking for : Due to internal movements, we are looking for an experienced Collections Officer to join our Revenue and Rates team.
You'll play a critical role in supporting our Property and Rating policy and legislative compliance.
What your day will look like : Contacting ratepayers with overdue ratesAssisting in the development of Council's Debt Recovery PolicyWorking closely with external agenciesCoordinating the processing of financial hardship applicationsProviding an excellent level of customer serviceQualifications : Proven experience in a similar debt collection position, ideally with an understanding of local government legislationStrong communication and engagement skillsStrong organisational and planning skillsThe ability to research and problem solveA high level of computer literacy, able to pick up new systemsBenefits of Working with Council : Committed to providing quality services to our community, we strongly support an inclusive and values-driven culture, recognising your individual skills, knowledge, and talent.
