Job Summary The Logistics Specialist - Warehouse and Cold Chain Management is responsible for performing general warehouse operations and activities.
He / She performs warehouse operations in adherence to procedures, and the safe and efficient operations of goods and equipment.
He / She performs deliveries, asset management and transaction documentation process, and performs the secure handling of goods.
He / She also supports implementation of improvement opportunities within the warehouse operations.
He / She may be required to work in rotating shifts and be able to carry heavy loads.
Job Responsibilities / Key Tasks (External) Business Administration Operations Participate in value-based culture and a culture of accountability in the organisationAdhere to organisation's governance, compliance issues and reporting processesAdhere to organisation's data governance and protection processesWork with allocated resourcesApply operational policies, standards and proceduresPerform basic risk assessmentSupport the department in incident or crisis management initiativesBusiness Process / Continuous Improvement Perform continuous improvement activitiesApply environmental protection proceduresSafety and Health Perform WSH activities to ensure personal compliance to requirementsPerform safety and health risk assessmentReport WSH incidentsHighlight WSH shortcomings in existing processesTechnology Application Assist application of latest technology to improve operations in own work areasOperate technology or electronic tools and devicesWarehousing, Cargo and Material Handling Report warehousing issues in a timely mannerPerform loading, unloading and arranging of warehouse cargo and itemsPerform warehouse security operations in adherence to plansPerform cargo or material-handling security proceduresPerform moving of warehouse cargo and itemsPerform cross docking operations and shipment consolidationPerform warehouse operations in accordance with 5S (sort, set, shine, standardise, sustain) techniquesIdentify operational shortfall, maintenance or repair needsAssist in application of methods and techniques to handle dangerous goodsAssist in application of methods and techniques to handle time and temperature-sensitive cargoPerform cargo consolidation activitiesPerform transhipment and transloading operationsComply with height, weight and special handling requirements in stacking, moving, and arranging items on pallets according to storage plansPerform container stuffing and unstuffing operationsJob Requirements Basic knowledge of SAP / Warehouse Management System (WMS)Proficiency in basic MS Office ApplicationsPhysically fit for tasks that may involve lifting and moving packagesGood team player, able to work well independently and in a teamFork Lift licence is preferred.Professional Qualifications & Relevant Experience GCE N / O Levels / NITEC1-2 years of relevant working experience in warehouse operations #J-18808-Ljbffr
