We are seeking an experienced Team Lead to join our Distribution Design & Engineering team in QLD. The role will serve as a technical authority offering leadership and strategic direction to a variety of multi-disciplinary projects.
The successful candidate will continue to provide technical support and professional guidance throughout project phases including feasibility studies, conceptualisation, detailed design, construction, commissioning and post construction activities.
About the role:Lead and manage a team of engineers by empowering them to deliver high quality designs and solutionsCollaborate efficiently with various stakeholders (both internal and external) to manage expectations and project deliverySelf-manage and forecast workload including ability to manage multiple project scopes simultaneously.Oversee the preparation and collation of associated documentation to support design submissionMaintain and develop Quality Assurance for all projects within the teamUndertake occasional site visits to oversee deliveryAbout you:Minimum of 10 years' engineering experience in consultancy or power utility environmentIn depth understanding of electrical engineering fundamentalsDemonstrated experience in distribution and sub-transmission design for overhead and underground networks (AS7000 and AS3008 experience desirable)Contestable works experience in subdivision and Large Connection CustomersExcellent understanding of Ergon & Energex technical standardsAbility to perform feasibility assessments, technical compliance audits, quality assurance checks and detailed design tasksRPEQ accreditationKnowledge in CATAN, PLS-CADD and CYMCAPExcellent written and interpersonal communication skillsCurrent QLD Driver's LicenceWhat we offer:Attractive Salary Package based on your experienceSuperb office facilities in central locationOpportunity to be a key team member of a fast growing and professional organisationBe a driving force in the worldwide transition to renewable energy by joining APD Global, a leading provider of engineering solutions for utility and renewable power projects.
