Senior Child And Family Advocate/ CounsellorDescriptionThis is an exciting opportunity to join the Multi-agency Investigation Support Team (MIST).
MIST is an innovative model of responding to child sexual abuse and other adverse childhood experiences and is a partnership between Parkerville's Specialist Therapeutic Response Team and WAPOL Child Abuse Squad.
Parkerville's Specialist Therapeutic Response Team provides therapeutic and psychological interventions to children, young people, and their families alongside advocacy work to ensure children and young people have a voice and are empowered with choices throughout the criminal investigation within therapeutic/counselling interventions.
Working from a trauma-informed, child-and family-inclusive framework, we provide evidence-based interventions to help children and young people heal from this traumatic experience.
This role requires a high level of skill and experience in working with children, young people, and their families.

About the Role We are looking to fill two positions for this role, which are offered on a full-time, permanent basis, at our Armadale Location.
In order to be successful for this role, the applicant will have: Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, or another relevant field.Demonstrated experience and knowledge of trauma-informed practice in relation to children, young people, and families.Demonstrated experience and knowledge of conducting intake assessments.Demonstrated ability to advocate amongst professional peers on behalf of children and young people.Experience in working with and supporting children, young people, and families in crisis and those who have experienced abuse and/or neglect.Why Join MIST?
