This pivotal role involves delivering trauma-informed therapeutic services to children and women impacted by family and domestic violence.
Responsibilities include providing individual counselling, parent/child therapeutic support, and direct counselling to promote recovery and healing from the effects of trauma and violence.The position emphasizes both individual and group-based interventions, supporting dyadic therapeutic work that strengthens parent-child relationships.
The counsellor will also support group programs for children, young people, and their mothers, fostering resilience, connection, and recovery in a safe and supportive environment.The Senior Counsellor will work in collaboration with other agencies and key stakeholders, where appropriate, to maintain and ensure the effectiveness of the programs for families receiving a service.About the Program:The City of Stirling is the lead organisation for the Naala Djookan Healing Centre along with various consortium members.
