We are currently looking for a passionate and highly dedicated applicant to join our Culinary Team as a Junior Sous Chef in The Star Sydney.
The salary on offer for this role is $78,855 inclusive of superannuation ($70180 + 11.5% super).

A few of your responsibilities: Be accountable for supervising a section of the kitchenTrain staff at lower levels, coach, and guide employees to perform kitchen operationsHandle and follow up on all incidents immediately, and report accuratelyMaintaining food cost to parameter given by the companyKeeping outlet ahead of HACCP standardsWhat we are looking for:Solid experience Demi Chef/Chef de Partie and relevant tertiary qualifications, such as Certificate IV in Commercial CookeryExperience working in a busy, fast-paced kitchen environmentStrong understanding of produce, culinary techniques, and kitchen equipmentExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to commit to 40 hours per week working varied shifts, including weekends and holidaysWhat we can offer you: Supportive Management teamPermanent Full-Time role with permanent benefits including annual leaveOnboarding and training in your department, with ample support from senior leadersUp to 30% Discounts across award-winning restaurants and accommodationMental Health and Wellbeing servicesDiversity & Inclusion areas of focus include Multicultural, Gender, Aboriginal & Torres Strait islander and LGBTQI+FREE buffet meal, sandwich and salad bar with a new menu every day at our Employee Dining RoomDiscounted staff parking available every dayUniforms prepared and ready for you daily on the propertyPlease be aware that eligibility checks are required as part of the recruitment process and ongoing employment for this position.
