Bankstown Hospital is seeking a dedicated Nurse Unit Manager to lead our dynamic Oncology Unit.

The NUM is pivotal to the coordination of patient care, unit management and leadership to ensure the delivery of high quality patient care and efficient use of resources.Where You'll Be WorkingBankstown-Lidcombe Hospital is located in the city of Bankstown and is in one of the most multicultural local government areas (LGA) in Australia.

View our application guide for information on how to respond to criteria and improve your application.Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent work experience or a combination of study and experience deemed appropriate by SWSLHD.Demonstrated senior nursing experience with experience in leading staff and managing services in a relevant setting.Proven ability to ensure the human, physical and financial resources of the unit are managed to provide safe, compassionate, quality care that is culturally responsiveDemonstrated ability to effectively communicate and engage with patients/consumers, carers and the multidisciplinary health care team to identify and ensure responsiveness of care needsDemonstrated capacity to interact with others in a personable and professional manner and manage conflicts and performance issues when they ariseDemonstrated evidence of the use of critical thinking as it relates to the management of the unit and the delivery of evidenced based nursing careDemonstrated understanding and participation in risk management, work health and safety and quality improvement in the workplaceNeed more information?
