ABOUT THE ROLEAs a JJ's Operations Manager you will lead our Perth Depot (based at Bayswater).
Your main responsibility is to lead our driver team to effectively manage our daily operational goals to ensure collection of commercial waste services.
This role calls for a 'hands-on' leader ensuring team engagement and an understanding of principles that underpin excellence in transport operations.
You will be working with a safe, well-maintained and serviced, modern and reliable fleet.
We are an essential services industry, offering stability to employees and reliability to our customers.
Your responsibilities will include: Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the businessManage operations on a day-to-day basisLead, mentor and train the driver teamEnsure a high level of service is always maintained for customers, team members and stakeholdersCoordinate and optimise fleet utilisationPlan for business growthComply with laws, regulations and requirements including OH&S and return to work processesIdentify business enhancement opportunities and potential solutionsABOUT YOUTo be successful in this role, you will have: A current HR (Heavy Rigid) License with heavy vehicle driving experienceExperience in transport, logistics or the service industryResults oriented, able to assess performance gaps, ask the hard questions, and enable the solutionAble to motivate and advocate for employee engagement – build employee trustPossess a drive and hunger to build a positive team environment and cultureShow demonstrated experience in management processes including associated administrative componentsWell-developed people skills and excellent time managementKPI focused with the ability to perform under pressureIT savvy with well-rounded practical capabilities in Microsoft suite and the ability to learn task-specific softwareAble to successfully satisfy a pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol testingBENEFITSWe appreciate there is more to life than work, we provide a variety of work options to ensure the job gets done; with competitive remuneration and a range of benefits, regardless of your role or location including:
