Head Chef Role in Fast Paced Meal Production CompanyFast Fuel is a rapidly growing meal prep company dedicated to providing Australians with nutritious, quality, delicious meals and snacks, with a core focus on our wholesale market and nation-wide home delivery service.We are committed to constantly developing our menu, challenging the ready-made meal stereotype, and providing our customers with restaurant-quality food wherever they may happen to be.About The Role + Key ResponsibilitiesThis is a fantastic opportunity to work with a positive, energetic, and growing company. Currently operating a kitchen in Revesby, we are building on our wholesale customer base in Australia's largest retail chains. We're looking for a dynamic, energetic, and positive Production Head Chef to take on the QC and efficiency of meal production while upholding our dedication to food safety, quality, consistency, nutrition, and taste.Tasks will include:Prepping and managing day-to-day meal bases, proteins, soups, sides, and snacks in a hands-on manner to ensure daily production levels are achieved.Training and coaching staff to enable them to best perform their roles and progress their careers, build a positive team environment, and lead the team to success.Overseeing kitchen staff and managing rostering/wage costs.Quality Control, monitoring stock rotation, overseeing regular stocktake, and reducing food waste and cost.Work with other team personnel cohesively including CEO, COO, QAM, Production Manager, and Delivery Drivers to ensure production time-frames are met.Continually work to identify and solve problems regarding efficiency and food quality.Manage and maintain food safety and kitchen hygiene, as per SQF guidelines.Prerequisites10+ years in the hospitality industry, with some of this time spent in a Head Chef role in a large production facility.Demonstrated experience in a HACCP/SQF Kitchen and daily implementation of procedural operations.Working knowledge using emails, reading spreadsheets, and food cost/wage reports.Food Safety Certificate mandatory.Apply via seek with your CV and COVER LETTER telling us about why you would excel in the role you are applying for.
