Assistant Manager/ Duty Manager

Surrounded by the Royal Botanic Gardens, beautiful Sydney Harbour, the city skyline and located on the historic Macquarie Street is Sir Stamford Circular Quay. Awarded for its outstanding service and facilities, the hotel features 18th Century Louis XV and Georgian antiques, and houses one of Australia's largest private collections of fine art. The hotel offers 105 generously sized, luxuriously appointed guest rooms including 15 suites, a restaurant, a bar and 3 function rooms.
About the Role This role will suit a hospitality-driven professional that possesses the initiative and ambition to lead a dynamic team. It will be an excellent opportunity for an experienced Front Office Team Leader or Supervisor in a 5-star environment wanting to step up to the next challenge.

As an Assistant Manager, you will report to the Front Office Manager, and your duties will include:
Through effective supervision and coaching, ensure all services offered by the Front Office Team are carried out with the utmost efficiency and to the standards set by the Group;Assist the Front Office Manager in conducting departmental training sessions;Hold daily department briefings;Participate actively towards reducing guest dissatisfaction, and the preparation and execution of action plans;Coordinate security, emergency evacuation procedures and deal with any issues as they arise;Be responsible for Workplace Health and Safety reporting, documentation, and communication of all accidents within the Hotel;Actively upsell and encourage upselling within the Front Office Team;Empower the Front Office Team, within clearly defined parameters, to do anything to make the guests' stay more comfortable and beyond expectation;Continuously strive to improve departmental operations and increase the standards of service provided to all external and internal guests.The successful applicant will have Previous experience as a Front Office Team Leader/ Supervisor is essentialStrong time management and task prioritization skillsAbility to work independently and to manage a teamStrong attention to detail, and numerical, analytical and problem-solving skillsNatural ability to motivate the TeamCapacity to interact professionally with customers, team members and managementProficiency use of Hotel systems, especially OPERA, and advanced knowledge of Microsoft ExcelCurrent NSW Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) or willing to obtain oneNSW Full Drivers LicenceHow to Apply If this is the challenge you are looking for and if you have a passion for the Hospitality Industry, please apply.
