Manager - WIB and Market Risk
Permanent opportunity Sydney based Hybrid working model
How will I help?
You will be participating in independent reviews of control frameworks, systems, policies and procedures across the Westpac Institutional Bank (WIB) and Market Risk and identify areas for remediation and opportunities for enhancement.
Some of the key accountabilities are:
Developing an understanding of the WIB and Market Risk portfolios, their products as relevant, and how they operate both domestically and internationally.
Assisting in audit planning, including the identification of processes, risks and controls for testing.
Identifying and documenting audit issues, including performing a significance analysis and agreeing management action plans.
Assisting in the reporting stages of the audit engagement, including preparing and discussing audit reports with management.
Continuously monitoring business unit developments, activities, issue management, emerging risks or concerns.

What do I need?
Proven experience in internal audit or Big 4 accounting practice with relevant experience in financial services.
Experience in Financial Markets or Treasury or IT is desirable Consistent high-quality execution of work and deliverables.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills (written and oral), good commercial acumen and judgement.
Undergraduate degree.
Degrees in Accounting / Finance or equivalent field is desirable.
Chartered Accountant or Certified Practicing Accountant or Certified Internal Auditor or Certified Information Systems Auditor other industry accreditation preferred.
