What We Offer: Competitive salary and attractive benefits Hybrid working Fantastic work-life balance Melbourne CBD location Job Scope: The Collections Officer contributes to the profitability of the business by minimizing potential losses due to non-payment and loss of accounts by actively contacting delinquent accounts to secure payment.
The Role and Responsibilities: While adhering to company policies and procedures, demonstrates good customer service skills while initiating outbound calls and receiving inbound calls from customers.
Negotiates account resolution and accurately inputs and documents actions within the collection systems while maintaining company performance and productivity standards.
Detects and appropriately acts on inability to pay, cash flow, or financial problems and acts pursuant to Credit and Collection policies.
Communicates with customers in a courteous and professional manner by telephone to determine the reason for late payment and secure future payments.
Ensures all action details are recorded on all relevant Collections systems.
Works on various Collections queues and ad hoc reports, to contact by telephone, email, or receive telephone calls concerning overdue accounts and to collect outstanding funds.
Conducts collection actions to meet or exceed both individual and team goal benchmarks, and budget or forecast requirements.
Knowledge, Skills, and Personal Attributes: Secondary Education (desirable)
Minimum 12 months in a collections role
Exposure to a measured and KPI-based environment
Excellent verbal and written communication
Computer Literacy – Windows & MS Office tools and Email
Ability to work under pressure
Self-motivated
'Can do' attitude
Ability to work as part of a team
