We are excited to offer an opportunity for a Human Resources Manager to join our team at Elderly Care, based at our Head Office in Carina Heights.
This pivotal role will see you driving HR initiatives that align with our strategic business objectives and foster a thriving workplace culture.
As the Human Resources Manager, you will oversee all aspects of HR operations, from employee relations and recruitment, to learning and development.
You will lead a team comprising a Human Resources Business Advisor, a Learning and Development Coordinator, and a Recruitment Specialist.
Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), you will play a key role in shaping policies, maximising the output from employees, and ensuring compliance with legislative requirements.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Employee Relations: Manage performance, resolve grievances, handle terminations, and ensure smooth onboarding and probation processes.
Provide regular workforce reports to senior leadership.
Recruitment: Partner with the Recruitment Specialist to design and execute cost-effective recruitment strategies and assist in hiring.
Learning & Development: Collaborate with the Learning and Development Coordinator to deliver targeted training programs and maintain comprehensive training records.
Compliance and Legislation: Ensure policies adhere to the Fair Work Act, WHS Act, Privacy Act, and other relevant laws.
Industrial Relations: Advocate for the organization during conferences and hearings at Fair Work Australia.
Training: Develop HR-focused training programs that align with organisational goals.
Skills, Experience and Knowledge requirements to be successful in this role:
A bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field.
At least three years of experience managing a team or HR function.
Strong knowledge of employment legislation, enterprise agreements, and modern awards.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence at all levels.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to produce high-quality reports and submissions.
A dynamic, action-oriented approach and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Demonstrated confidentiality and professionalism in all dealings.
