Business Development Manager - Solar and BESSThe Company:The business specialises in large-scale Solar and Battery Energy Storage System projects, helping drive Australia's transition to clean energy. It is now looking to recruit a Business Development Manager with a strong knowledge of the Australian renewables market.The Role:As a BDM, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with key stakeholders, and developing strategies to expand our presence in the renewable energy market. Your role will focus on securing new projects, partnerships, and contracts across Australia, emphasizing large-scale solar farms and BESS initiatives.Responsibilities:Identify, develop, and execute business opportunities within the large-scale solar and battery storage markets.Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including developers, EPC contractors, utilities, and government agencies.Lead negotiations and close deals with clients to secure new projects and partnerships.Collaborate with the technical and project teams to ensure the successful delivery of proposals, presentations, and tenders.Stay updated on industry trends, market developments, and policy changes related to renewable energy.Drive the company's market expansion strategy by identifying new geographical and sector-specific opportunities.Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking functions.Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet and exceed revenue targets.Requirements:(Whilst we are also hiring on potential, this is a key, senior position within the business)Proven experience in business development, sales, or commercial roles within the renewable energy sector, preferably with a focus on solar or battery storage projects.Strong understanding of the renewable energy landscape, especially large-scale solar and BESS technologies.Established network within the energy sector, including utilities, developers, and regulators.Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and opportunities simultaneously.A self-starter with a strong entrepreneurial mindset and a passion for renewable energy.Knowledge of Australian energy policy and regulatory frameworks is highly desirable.Interested or want to learn more?
