IWS' people-centred approach ensures the availability of a highly trained workforce that delivers valuable expertise through our specialised service lines such as high-pressure water jetting, resource recovery via vacuum loading, non-destructive digging, hydro demolition and more across base load contract and project scopes.
The Opportunity As a Senior Business Development Manager in our IWS team, you'll play a pivotal role in driving growth and shaping Cleanaway's success.
Your primary focus will be to attract new customers and revenue by delivering bespoke solutions tailored to complex, technical needs, all while meeting individual sales targets and KPIs.
In addition to business development, you will also manage a portfolio of existing clients, ensuring their needs are met while maximizing opportunities to grow these accounts.
This dual focus allows you to build strong, lasting relationships and contribute to Cleanaway's strategic growth.
Key responsibilities include: Developing and managing a robust sales pipeline to identify and secure new business opportunities, including active participation in bids and tenders.
Building and nurturing relationships with prospects and customers throughout the project or contract lifecycle to meet their expectations and maximize market share.
Creating and maintaining detailed industry and sector business plans to stay ahead of market trends and shifts.
Leveraging our CRM (Salesforce) to keep all customer and sales activity data up to date.
Crafting high-quality proposals and presentations to engage and win over potential and existing clients.

About You You are a commercially savvy professional with experience in business development within industrial or commercial sectors.
You have a proven ability to secure new business through formal tenders and bids, converting complex and technical opportunities into tangible, profitable outcomes.
Key attributes include: Strong Interpersonal and Sales Skills: Ability to engage and influence at multiple levels to achieve exceptional sales results.
Industry Experience: Background in large, matrix-style organizations within Waste, Oil & Gas, Mining, Construction, or other industrial sectors.
Commercial Acumen: Skilled in active listening, asking the right questions, and identifying tailored solutions for clients.
Time Management: Effective in balancing multiple stakeholders and meeting tight deadlines.
Presentation and Negotiation Expertise: Confident, organized, and self-motivated, with excellent verbal, written, and numeracy skills to communicate and negotiate effectively.
