What's the role?
As General Manager of Engineering at News Corp Australia, you will lead engineering teams to drive technical excellence and innovation across our digital platforms.
You'll play a pivotal role in developing and implementing engineering standards around code quality, scalability, security, and performance, ensuring all projects align with our strategic vision.
This role calls for a collaborative leader who excels in a dynamic environment, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, technical mastery, and teamwork.
With a focus on talent development, you'll build and mentor high-performing teams, oversee engineering strategies to address legacy systems, and work closely with cross-functional groups to solve complex technical challenges.
In this role you will: Develop and implement engineering standards to ensure code quality, scalability, security, and performance across projects.
Drive engineering innovation and increase efficiency by aligning teams with strategic goals and best practices.
Lead and mentor high-performing engineering teams, fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaboration.
Collaborate with Architecture, Platform Managers, and Engineering teams to address legacy systems and develop forward-thinking technical solutions.
Define and evaluate key performance metrics to measure the success and impact of engineering initiatives.
