Building Maintenance Trades Assistant 2x 12 Month Fixed term positions vacant, both with the view to permanencyImmediate startAs part of our diverse business, Perisher has a Civil and Building Department responsible for all maintenance and building works within the Resort.
We currently have several opportunities available for experienced Trades Assistants to join the Civil and Building team.
Subject to performance during the initial contract period, these positions may be extended on a longer-term basis.
As a Trades Assistant, you will be part of a dedicated team focused on preventive and breakdown building maintenance of buildings, public areas, and facilities including guest and staff accommodation, bars, food outlets, and kitchens.
To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates with a diverse range of skills who are willing to work across a variety of tasks from basic maintenance duties to assisting with construction activities and hotel operations.
Ideally, the successful applicants will possess experience working in construction.
Flexibility, a can-do attitude, and the ability to work as part of a small team are essential attributes for this role.
Required Experience and Attributes Experience working in construction or within a similar maintenance type roleCurrent driver's licenceStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop good working relationships with all levels of staffCapacity to think logically and be able to rationally analyse and solve problemsAbility to work under pressure with limited supervisionThis position is available for an immediate start, and applications are being reviewed as they are received, so don't delay All applications will be treated with the strictest of confidence.
