Nestled amidst the beautiful Gold Coast beaches and thriving shopping, dining and nightlife of Australia's Gold Coast, just 150 metres from beautiful Surfers Paradise beach, the hotel features 408 well-appointed rooms, an outdoor swimming pool, Restaurant, Blvd Café and bar, #On5, tennis courts, gymnasium and games room.
Novotel Surfers Paradise also has dedicated Conference & Events facilities catering for up to 500 guests.
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team at Novotel Surfers Paradise.
This is a Monday – Friday, Full Time position role, based at the property.
Reporting to the Director of Sales and Marketing, and supported by our Sales Administrator, the role will be responsible for converting incoming leads and generating new business.
Key Responsibilities: Ensure that all proposals, negotiation and contracts are issued in an efficient and professional manner, ensuring banquet profitability guidelines are adhered to.
Represent the property at conferences, tradeshows, networking events, familiarisations, sales missions and on-site inspections.
Implement a sales plan that includes both proactive and reactive initiatives to achieve business objectives and budgeted profits for the hotel.
Maintain and manage a client database.
Prepare and present regular reports on sales activities and results to Director of Sales and Marketing.
Qualifications: About you:
Experience with Delphi Sales Force, Opera PMS and or ANAIS is highly regarded.
Recent experience in the Events and or high volume, fast paced, results orientated business environments.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Publisher and MS PowerPoint.
Vibrant personality, professional and always well-presented.
A positive 'can do' attitude and the ability to work within a team environment.
Must have valid Australian work rights.
