As a Senior Manager, Business Controls and Monitoring (BCM) you will join a team of risk professionals to provide high quality first line risk advice to Business Lending, to uplift their ability in proactively identifying, managing, mitigating, and monitoring risks. Reporting into the Executive Manager, Village Advice Business Lending, you will focus on incident and issues management, control assessments, and control environment uplift as well as obligations management.
You will play a key role in supporting Business Lending to:
Build a strong risk culture and uplift risk maturityDevelop durable and effective solutions for resolving risk and control issues and incidentsManage the control environment in accordance with policiesMeet regulatory obligationsOperate within risk appetite of the businessDevelop risk management pathways that helps achieve business objectivesYou will have an opportunity to provide risk advice against a broad spectrum of domains including:
Business Lending products, product management and governancePricing and capital managementPrudential obligations requirementsCredit optimisation and process efficiency upliftData management and governanceThird party supplier management and governanceMarketing and business growth strategiesWhat's in it for me? What do I need? Ideally 7+ years' experience in a large complex organisation, primarily within the financial services industry.
To be successful in this role, you have demonstrated experience in the following areas:
Managing issues and incidents to a successful outcomeTesting design and operating effectiveness of controlsThink critically and have an ability to constructively challengeCommunicating, influencing and negotiating with various stakeholdersRisk and regulatory landscape, business knowledge and operational risk and compliance frameworks.Establishing and maintaining good working relationships with stakeholders and the team.Balance multiple priorities and deliver timely results.Ability to adapt and achieve objectives in a dynamic environment.Experience in one or more of the domain areas will be considered favourably.
