The Grosvenor Hotel is looking for a passionate, energetic and committed Assistant Venue Manager / Duty Manager to come and join our historic inner-city pub and be a key part of our food and beverage team

We are looking for someone who's mature and dependable to run our opening and closing procedures, provide phenomenal customer service, assist in training team, and most importantly help shape the role into their own

Our Pub runs on good people, positive vibes and a love for customer service
The rest can be taught to the right person.

What We're Looking For Experience: You've got at least some experience under your belt as a manager in the hospitality field.

What To Expect From The Role This is a hands-on role
You'll be expected to get some beer on your boots and lead from the front alongside ownership and team
Be prepared to step up and help the Venue Manager in their absence.
Guide staff and lead by example and have a desire to raise the bar
By monitoring team conduct to ensure they are providing the highest level of service that is both courteous and friendly.
Get involved with regular training sessions and have an eye for detail.
You should see operational hurdles and be able to help facilitate improvements and upgrades.
Monitor opening and closing procedures.
This involves handling tills, supervising team, and conducting daily operations.
Ensure team start times correspond to the roster with punctuality being monitored.
Minimize wage costs by signing team off when the floor becomes quiet and co-ordinate breaks ensuring team levels are adequate and compliance to the award is met.
You'll be expected to be present with suitable grooming & dress standards given you'll spend plenty of time customer-facing.
(MUST hold an RSA and should have an Approved Managers Card (If not, will be required to obtain prior to employment start).
