Join Varcon Group as a Site Manager
Varcon Group is seeking an experienced and driven Site Manager to oversee and manage our construction project site.
As a Site Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to Varcon's exceptional quality standards.
We're looking for a leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering outstanding results.
The ideal candidate will be a clear communicator who leads by example, demonstrating fairness, honesty, and professionalism while supporting and mentoring their team.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, organize, and manage projects to ensure quality, timely completion, and adherence to budget.
Supervise site crews, subcontractors, and material deliveries, ensuring smooth coordination and compliance with safety and industry regulations.
Liaise with Superintendent/Project Manager to provide progress updates and address concerns, while maintaining strong professional relationships.
Conduct quality inspections, manage design issues, and ensure building are built to specifications, plans, and company standards.
Coordinate and oversee project, ensuring timely and effective execution across all phases.
Enforce company procedures, resolve disputes, and address quality issues with trades and suppliers as needed.
Ensure compliance with OHS requirements, industry legislation, and internal policies, consulting with the OHS Manager as required.
Handle on-site incidents and emergencies proactively, keeping management informed of issues and resolutions.
About You:
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
A minimum of 5 years' experience as a Site Manager in commercial construction, design and construction builds.
Strong knowledge of Australian Building Codes, OHS legislation, and compliance standards.
Proven ability to manage large projects while maintaining quality and timelines.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
A proactive approach to resolving challenges and a commitment to continuous improvement.
