Deputy Principal - Highland Reserve State School, Education Highland Reserve State School is seeking applications for an aspiring leader with skills to support our Positive Behaviour 4 Learning, Social and Emotional Learning, and Literacy improvement focus in 2025.
About the School:
Highland Reserve School was proudly opened in 2009 by the then Premier of Queensland, Anna Bligh.
The school was designed and built as a 21st Century Digital Learning Environment incorporating an innovative range of teaching and learning spaces, furnishings, and digital technologies.
Our school was built at a cost of $30 million to serve the communities of Upper Coomera, Heritage Gardens, Highland Reserve, and Wongawallan.
Our commitment to our students and parents goes beyond the classroom.
We offer a comprehensive co-curricular program including sporting, musical, environmental, and community activities.
Upper school students engage in a range of Outdoor Education experiences.
Our staff are a wonderful team of dedicated professionals who are committed to offering families a high-quality education delivered within a disciplined, safe, and supportive environment.

About the Role:
Appointments in the public sector are merit-based and will be assessed by looking at your previous knowledge, skills, experience, potential for development, and personal qualities.
Responsibilities include:
Assist the Principal to lead the school community to develop, articulate, and commit to a shared educational vision focused on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
Deputise for the Principal when required.
Uphold the deputy principalship as a values-based, ethical, and moral activity.
Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
Set high standards for student and staff performance.
Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
Form partnerships with parents, other government agencies, community groups, industry, and business.
Be futures oriented and strategic.
Understand the legislation and policies that impact schooling.
Manage resources to achieve goals.
This position is offered as a Temporary Full-time role, from 23 January 2025 to 27 June 2025 (with a possibility of extension).
