**Employer's Job Description**:
The Information Systems Specialist III position is within the MSEA Support Services Unit, range 23. The required minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in information technology or similar field and three years of relevant work experience. Relative experience may be considered in lieu of formal education on a year for year basis.

The required knowledge, skills, and abilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

- Familiarity with the specific IT needs and challenges of a higher education institution, including academic software, student information systems, and online learning platforms. Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving complex hardware, software, and network issues efficiently. Ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and compliance requirements.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with faculty, staff, and students. Ability to provide exceptional support and service, focusing on user satisfaction and quick resolution of issues.
- Capability to work well within a team and collaborate with other IT professionals on large-scale projects across multiple remote sites. Flexibility to adapt to the rapidly changing IT landscape and new technologies.
- Skill in creating and maintaining detailed technical documentation, including user manuals and system operation guides.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple issues concurrently. High level of accuracy and attention to detail in managing IT systems and documentation. Ability to stay productive and engaged under mínimal supervision, leaning forward when confronted with customer requirements.
