HR Business Partner - Austria

Nature and aim of the position

HR Partner will be responsible for supporting our employees and line managers in two entities of Global Blue in Austria in all their HR related queries. Holder of the position will play active role in all stages of employee life cycle - from attraction and recruitment, through successful onboarding and further development, to retention and professional separation. Main duties and responsibilities

To ensure the main aims listed above are handled in a professional and structured way including:

- Overseeing contract terms for new hires, promotions and transfers in order to ensure compliancy with local legislation and CBA
- Conducting regular meetings with managers of respective functions
- Assisting line managers to address organizational, people and change related issues
- Assisting international employees with expatriate assignments and related HR matters
- Supporting line managers in building individual personal development plans for employees; Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success; Follows up to ensure training objectives are met
- Responsible for conducting and analysis of exit interviews, reporting of findings and communication with relevant stakeholders to ensure proper follow-up actions are taken
- Resolving issues between employees and managers/the employer
- Providing a work environment that is physically and emotionally healthy for employees
- Administration of disciplinary proceedings and preparation of warning letters
- Back-up for HR Advisor in preparation of job contracts, amendments to job contracts and job descriptions, maintenance of all changes related to exit administration
- Supporting Senior HR Business Partner in HR process management - mapping of current processes in place, gaps analysis, proposing new processes and regular review of processes in place
- Support for Senior HR Business partner in order to ensure proper and on-time communication with Works Council and preparation of relevant documentation
- Participation on induction program for newcomers
- Regular and ad-hoc reporting, and other ad-hoc tasks as per employer needs

Reporting and collaboration
- Reports to Senior HR Business Partner
- Close collaboration within the CEE HR Team and broader international HR team
- Collaboration with internal stakeholders within Tech & Finance HUB in Vienna

Key competencies
- Excellent knowledge of Austrian labor legislation and best practices
- Solid communication skills, both written and verbal
- German knowledge at native speaker level
- Advanced knowledge of English (C1 - able to discuss business matters in an international environment)
- Microsoft office advanced user (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Preferable skills and competencies
- Excellent time management skills, ability to organize, multitask, prioritize and work under pressure
- Independence and active approach to work

Education and qualifications
- University education (preferably Human Resources, Psychology, MBA or Finance)
- CIPD training / certification is an advantage

Experience
- Previous experience in HR - min 5 years
- Previous experience in similar role (HR Generalist, HR Partner or HR Manager) - min 2 years
- Proven track record of successful collaboration in highly complex organizations
- Experience with interactions at all levels of management
- Previous experience with recruitment
- Experience with international working environment
