**About you**
You would like to take on purchasing responsibility for various product groups in the resale area of a refractory company. You have a strong cultural and ethical awareness and a genuine interest in green and sustainable procurement practices. You want to actively participate in the development of a sustainability strategy for purchasing. You have strong communication skills, are willing to take responsibility and are good at setting priorities. You are able to get others on board to work towards a common goal. In a post-covid world, you are willing to travel up to 20% of your working hours within Europe in this role.
**In addition you have**:
- Degree in business administration or environmental systems science
- 2-3 years of purchasing experience (ideally in an industrial company)
- Strong interest in topics such as sustainability, environmental and energy management
- Results orientation, coupled with a drive for continuous improvement
- Proactive, self-reliant and structured way of working
- Very good oral and written German and English skills
- Very good MS Office skills; SAP (Ariba) and Microsoft BI experience desirable
- Affinity for digital tools
**About the job**
In this role, you will be a buyer with primary responsibility for various commodity groups in the resale area, working closely with internal stakeholders (SCM, QA, R&D). In addition, you will contribute to the development of a sustainable purchasing strategy as part of a global project team.
**Your tasks include**:
- Purchasing responsibility for specific commodity groups in the resale area
- Tendering as well as conducting negotiations and supplier talks
- Market studies, identification of trends and opportunities in the procurement markets
- Contract management and preparation of purchase orders and contracts
- Supporting the entire regional purchasing team in identifying and implementing sustainability initiatives
