People Operations Manager Austria

Reporting into the VP of People, you'll be the **competent and experienced "go to" person** on all People Operations related matters for our employees in Austria. You'll partner closely with our People Operations Managers in other locations, alongside being able to **mentor** and **develop** two direct reports.

This is a **full-time** position working from **Vienna** or **remotely from Austria** (within a commutable distance to our Vienna office) and attending our office in Vienna as and when required.

**What you'll do**:
- Support our Austrian employees with all People Operations related topics during their employee life cycle, e.g. vacation, CBA, employee relations and retention, family leave etc., benefits, compliance and labour law, visa processes, and payroll questions.
- Issue the relevant documents and are happy to advise and challenge any questions or concerns.
- Revolutionise our performance management strategy and support the planning/management of training and development initiatives.
- Accountable for the correct payroll processing for Austria and Germany, and ensure its compliance with labour laws.
- Ensure the smooth onboarding of new starters, alongside building up solid working relationships with all relevant stakeholders.
- Care about maintaining an efficient and desirable workplace as well as increasing job satisfaction by quickly resolving issues, always keeping the door open and being approachable.
- Confidentiality is your top priority and you handle the information you know with superior trust and care.
- Prepare management reports by collecting, analysing, and summarising useful HR metrics, data and trends.
- Champion collaborative cross-functional relationships with Talent Acquisition, People & Culture, Finance, Legal and other managers to ensure successful provision of People Operations tasks, projects and initiatives.
**What you’ll need**:
- Passion for HR with more than 5 years of experience at Advisor/Senior Advisor level, preferably in an international IT, SME or scale-up environment.
- Superior working knowledge of Austrian labour law as well as IT KVs/CBA and a good knowledge of payroll (will be done together with an external partner).
- Fluent German and English language skills.
- Strong core values, ideally with prior management experience.
- Strong analytical skills; proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets and HR tools (ideally Personio).
- Superior attention to detail and enthusiasm for improving processes.
- Ability to work with confidential information and maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion.
- Open, friendly and proactive personality who thrives in a dynamic environment and scores high on solution orientation, good time management and organizational skills.
- Willingness to work in an international scale up environment and contribute to the company's success by acting as a competent, credible and collaborative partner.
**Are you ready to apply?**
The minimum CBA salary for this position is €44.660 gross per year based on full-time employment (38.5 hours/week).
In addition, we offer of course the willingness to overpay according to your qualifications and professional experience.
